The Winter Blues!

Students Prepare for the Snow!

February 05, 2008

'Tis the season of wind, snow (sometimes rain), and un-driveable conditions. As Stillman Valley gets ready for another blast of snow and ice, students are getting ready for the cold weather "eskimo" style.

If you are feeling blue at this time of the year, you may be struggling from the lack of sunlight. Winter is the darkest time of the year, and as such, we are exposed to less sunlight than any other time of year. Many professionals from various professions recognize our need for sunlight...the sun's rays are a great way to "lift" our spirits.

If you are feeling the blues, experts encourage us to get outside more...the fresh air will do us good. However, blistering cold is not everyone's favorite time to venture outside, so the next step is to try some "light" therapy.
