Congratulations to the Following Students!

With the assistance of CEANCI, SVHS is now in its third year as an official testing site for the MOS Certification Exam for Microsoft Office 2016. Becoming a testing site is part of SVHS' plan on providing students with the opportunities to become career and college readyThere are six testing areas that students can take to become career ready in Microsoft Office 2016. SVHS' Business & Technology Department offers the following classes:  ISS-Word, ISS-Excel, ISS-PowerPoint and/or ISS-Access classes. Students who enroll in these classes are eligible to take the MOS Certification test.

This year, students worked throughout both semesters on specific skill sets that are required for certification in Word 2016 and Excel 2016. The class focus is on providing students with both the required language and skills needed by completing various types of exercises that are compatible with the MOS test. At the end of each semester, students take the MOS test when they are ready.

When students pass the test, they are sent an email message from Microsoft  with a certification ID and links to online resources, including the Microsoft Certified Professional site. On this site, students can download or order a printed certificate, create a virtual business card, order an ID card, view and share their certification transcript, access the Logo Builder, and access other useful and interesting resources, including special offers from Microsoft and affiliated companies. Using the Logo Builder, they can create a personalized certification logo that includes the MOS logo and the specific programs in which they have achieved certification. If they achieve MOS certification in multiple programs, they can include up to six of them in one logo. Students can include their personalized logo on businessman cards and other personal promotional materials. This logo attests to the fact that students are proficient in the applications or cross-application skills necessary to achieve the certification.

We are proud to announce that to-date, the following students have successfully passed the MOS certification tests for Microsoft Word and Excel. Student success rate since 2014 is 94.3%. The success rate for 2017-2018 is 100%. Congratulations to the following students:
