SVHS Counseling Department hosted a "Real-Life Expo" today for freshmen and sophomore. The freshmen and sophomore classes tested in the morning and then had an opportunity to explore work on a personal budgets in the afternoon. Students were given a certain amount of money and then were asked to visit various kiosks ranging from visiting the mall, using a debit card, paying mortgage on a house (along with utilities), purchasing transportation, spending money on entertainment, purchasing personal care items as well as buying clothing. Their goal was to keep a "cushion budget" between $0 and $100.
