Meet Laura Henderson!

I am excited to join the staff at Stillman Valley High School as a new member of the English Department. After the last three years in Wyoming, I am glad to return to my Midwestern roots. I grew up on a farm outside Radcliffe, Iowa. In 2002, I graduated from a small district that had only 150 students in the entire high school. Following graduation, I attended Iowa State University, graduating in 2006 with a degree in English.
My first teaching job was at Rock Springs High School in Wyoming. It is a large high school that has approximately 1200 students. Coming to Stillman Valley is quite a change for me, but one I am eagerly anticipating.
In my spare time, I like golfing, hiking, skiing, and tennis. I also enjoy watching sporting events such as baseball, basketball, and football. And of course, as an English teacher, I do love to read.
I am thrilled to be here at Stillman Valley and look forward to getting involved in the community.
