Bailey Weber and Nate Robert First at Regionals

There will be a meeting on B-Days at 7:20 in room 105 from now until our competition on May 14th!!!
Bailey Weber and assistant Nate Robert placed first in the Math Oral Competition at the ICTM Regional Math Contest held at Rock Valley College on February 23, 2008.
The topic of this year’s Oral Competition was Fair Division, the mathematics behind the negotiation process in disputed distribution of equity during business mergers and estate settlements.
Other members of the Stillman Valley Math Team placing in their events were, Isaac Robert, first in Algebra I, Elizabeth Winter, third in Geometry, Nate Robert, third in Pre calculus, Fresh/Soph 8 person team (Kim Gerardy, Allison Mengel, Isaac Robert, Amanda Kester, Daniel Doss, Ashley Koenig, Brianna Koenig, Elizabeth Winter) third, Junior/Senior 2 person team (Nate Robert, Nate VanDyke) third, and the Precalculus Team (Nate Robert, Nate VanDyke, Vickie Werckle, Chad Vangsness, Bailey Weber, Christina Winter) third.
Those qualifying for state are: Isaac Robert, Elizabeth Winter, the Fresh/Soph 8 person team, the Oral Team, and the Precalculus Team.They will compete at U of I on April 26th.
