Prom Plans Underway for 2009

Plans are already underway for Prom 2009! Next year's prom will be on May 9, 2009 from 6-11 p.m. at the Hickory Grove Banquet Center in Rochelle, IL. The dinner and dance will be held in the "Stillman" room. J& M Production from DeKalb will be deejaying this event. Dinner choices include Prime Rib or Chicken Kiev. The vegetarian choice is Tomato Basil Pasta. Meal includes garlic mashed potatoes, corn, tossed salad and rolls. A dessert table will feature Reese's Peanut Butter Cup cheesecake, Apple pie, German Chocolate cake, and jello parfait.
This year, we have come up with a new idea in regards to fundraising and trying to cut costs for prom. We have created an account with Visit Our Mall, which is a shopping network where you can purchase items online at various stores, such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, K-mart and many more. Every time you place an order, Stillman Valley prom committee will receive a percentage or a flat dollar amount for your purchase. Once a month, the prom committee will receive a check from Visit Our Mall.
If you have never shopped on line, or have never used Visit Our Mall, when you enter the web site, you will need to choose a category on the left hand side of the web site. This will take you to the various store web sites that fall under the category you have selected. Next to the store's name will be the percentage or dollar amount that they are willing to give to Stillman for your purchase. Choose your store and begin to shop. You will need a credit card to shop online, and the type of credit card will depend on the store you have chosen.
Visit Our Mall has a variety of categories such as Sports, Toys, Tickets/Events (concerts or professional games), Games/Software, Flowers, DVD/Video, Books/Magazines, Health/Diets, Automotive/Motorcycles, CD/Music, Cell Phones/Telephones, and much much more....
