Open Position

‚ÄčA Huge Thank You to our sponsors for their strong support of Stillman Valley Athletics and MABC.

The athletic boosters ask that each sport designate a parent representative that would be able to attend booster meetings and otherwise act as a booster advocate for the parents involved in that sport.  This will help us reach out to more of our athlete's parents, keeping them informed and involved.  Please let Kelly Gale know if you are the parent representative.

If you're already a booster member and active in a particular sport or sports please consider volunteering for this position and join us at the meetings.

MISSION

The Mission of the Meridian Athletic Boosters is to promote participation in sport activities at Stillman Valley High School and to make these activities available and attractive to both boys and girls. The Athletic Boosters strive to achieve this objective by promoting the purchase of equipment and upgrading, renovating, and maintaining athletic facilities. Through fund raising and donations the Athletic Booster are able to assist the athletic department in the cost of these projects. The end goal is to foster, expand, and facilitate interest in all school sponsored sports activities and encourage the spirit of good sportsmanship and fellowship.

The items purchased for the various groups were requested by the coaches and approved by the Athletic Director. It is important to remember that all sports are not in need of the same monetary value of equipment and facilities.

The Meridian Athletic Boosters Club is looking for parents of children in the Meridian District who can help keep the program alive so when their children get to high school they too will be able to have the support from Boosters to provide financial assistance to the school sports and other programs.

Things which are provided by boosters due to school financial restraints include: training aids for programs, equipment, technology aids, and financial help ...for various school activity programs who go down state.

Boosters have provided many thousands of dollars to the Stillman Valley sports programs. Some of these items from coaches requests included: (2017)new boys soccer uniforms, help with the resurfacing of main gym floor, help with baseball infield, (2016)new baseball uniforms home and away , new track uniforms, new pop up tent for track athletes, new Boys Basketball uniforms, I-pad for Girls Basketball stat tracking, new wrestling mat, and aids for Golf , new Volleyball jerseys, Girls Soccer warm-ups, Girls Basketball warm-ups (2015), boys soccer uniforms, and along with the district the resurfacing of the main gym, along with many smaller donations. All of the money spent on these items for all of our athletes comes from money earned by selling cash calendars and fundraisers such as Chop Fest,  and silent auctions, and football/ basketball/wrestling concessions.
